Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service generators across the Midlands. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on multiple sites, with clear focus on fault finding and electrical systems.

Basic hourly rate is £17.25, with overtime opportunities to increase earnings. The role offers a company van, mobile and laptop, with an early finish on Friday and generous holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• NVQ in plant maintenance or equivalent in mechanical engineering.
• Experience working on generators, plant hire, diesel engines or similar equipment.
• Full, clean UK driving license.
• Willingness to undergo industry specific training and courses.

This role would suit a Field Service Engineer who is looking to join a leading UK company where you will have the opportunity to increase earnings through overtime.

The Role:

• Planned and reactive maintenance on a variety of generators, fault finding i.e. control panel, AC/DC electrical systems, genset synchronization
• £17.25 p/h basic, 39hrs per week - 8:00am to 16:30 Monday to Thursday, 15:30 finish Friday
• Overtime 1.5x - paid from 6:00am to 8:00am, then 16:30pm to 00:00pm/ 2.0x paid 00:00 to 6:00am
• Midlands patch (up to Liverpool, Sheffield, down to Oxford & Worcester) Occasional visits to depot in Birmingham required

The Person:

• NVQ in plant maintenance/equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience working on generators, plant hire, diesel engines and/or similar equipment
• Full, Clean UK driving license
• Looking to develop your skills through industry specific training and courses.
