Job summary

Roundhouse Recruitment Limited seeks a Field Service Engineer (Construction Plant) to service and repair construction machinery across a regional Midlands patch. You’ll receive full product training and work mostly on excavation equipment with no overnight work.

The role features a 39-hour week, Friday early finish, and clear routes for progression while offering a competitive £40,000–£46,000 salary and door-to-door/holiday benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in field service and fault finding on construction plant or heavy equipment.
• Strong hydraulics and electrical diagnostic skills.
• Recognised Level 3 technical qualification such as NVQ/City & Guilds.

Responsibilities

• Field-based servicing, diagnostics and repair of construction machinery.
• Mainly small to medium excavators and heavy plant.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults and perform repairs.
• Provide breakdown diagnostics and technical troubleshooting in the Midlands patch.
• Maintain a 39-hour week with no regular overnight stays and Friday finish.
