Job summary

Roundhouse Recruitment is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service construction machinery across a Midlands patch. You will diagnose, service and repair excavators and heavy plant, with full product training and clear progression routes.

Working hours are 39 per week, with no regular overnights, an early finish on Friday, and a competitive salary of £40,000-£46,000 plus overtime and a pension. This is a field-based, day-shift role based in Telford/West Midlands.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in construction plant or heavy machinery.
• Background in construction plant or heavy vehicles is essential.
• Strong hydraulics and electrical diagnostic experience required.
• Excavator experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Field-based servicing, diagnostics and repair of construction machinery.
• Diagnose and repair small to medium excavators and heavy plant.
• Fault finding and breakdown diagnosis on mobile machinery.
• Operate within a regional Midlands patch with no overnight stays.
• Mon-Thu 8:00am-4:30pm; Fri 8:00am-3:30pm; 39-hour basic week.
• Receive full manufacturer and product training.
