Job summary

Roundhouse Recruitment Ltd is hiring a Field Service Engineer (Construction Plant) to service and repair excavators and heavy plant on a Midlands patch from Birmingham. The role offers a 39-hour week, no overnight stays, a Friday early finish and full product training.

You'll work on mechanical, hydraulic and electrical diagnostics with regional travel, and have opportunities for progression into senior technical, specialist or team leader roles within a long-established engineering group.

Qualifications

• Background in construction plant or heavy machinery required.
• Confident fault finding across heavy mobile machinery.
• Recognised Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds or equivalent technical qualification.

Responsibilities

• Field-based servicing, diagnostics and repair of construction machinery.
• Diagnostics across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Regional Midlands patch with no overnight stays.
• Hours: Mon-Thu 8:00-16:30, Fri 8:00-15:30.
