Job summary
Roundhouse Recruitment Limited is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Construction Plant) to service and repair construction machinery on a regional Midlands patch. You will diagnose faults and perform servicing on excavators and similar equipment, with a strong emphasis on hydraulics and electrical systems.
The role offers a 39-hour week with no overnight stays, full manufacturer training and clear progression into senior technical roles.
Qualifications
- Background in construction plant or heavy machinery.
- Strong hydraulics and electrical diagnostic experience.
- Confident fault finding across heavy mobile machinery.
- Recognised Level 3, NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent technical qualification.
Responsibilities
- Field-based servicing, diagnostics and repair of construction machinery.
- Predominantly small to medium excavators and heavy plant.
- Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault finding.
- Breakdown diagnosis and technical troubleshooting.
- Regional Midlands territory with no regular overnight stays.
- Mon-Thu: 8:00–16:30; Fri: 8:00–15:30.
- 39-hour basic week with additional hours.
- Full manufacturer and product training.
