Job summary

Roundhouse Recruitment Limited is recruiting for a Field Service Engineer (Construction Plant) to cover a Midlands patch, based mainly in the Midlands with no regular overnight stays. You will service, diagnose, and repair construction machinery such as excavators, applying hydraulic and electrical fault finding for a regional client.

The role offers a 39-hour week with early Friday finish, full training from the manufacturer, and clear progression into senior or leadership positions.

Qualifications

• Background in construction plant, heavy plant or related machinery.
• Strong hydraulics and electrical diagnostic experience.
• Confident fault finding across heavy mobile machinery.

Responsibilities

• Field-based servicing, diagnostics and repair of construction machinery.
• Predominantly small to medium excavators and associated heavy plant.
• Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault finding.
• Breakdown diagnosis and technical troubleshooting.
• Regional Midlands territory with no regular overnight stays.
• Monday to Thursday, 8:00am - 4:30pm; Friday 8:00am - 3:30pm.
