Job summary

Ingersoll Rand plc is seeking a Compressed Air Service Engineer (mechanical or electrical bias) to join our expanding service team based from the Trafford Park office in Manchester.

The role involves diagnosing faults, pipework installation, preventative maintenance, and on-site commissioning of compressors and air systems. You will travel across the UK with occasional overnight stays and maintain excellent relationships with customers and your team.

Qualifications

• Experience in the compressed air industry.
• Experience with low pressure compressed air systems.
• Experience with high pressure compressed air systems desirable but not essential.
• Good interpersonal and IT skills.
• Desire to provide a high quality of workmanship.
• Current UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Effectively diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on customer equipment.
• Pipework installations.
• Undertake planned and preventative maintenance on compressors, dryers and ancillary equipment on compressed air systems.
• Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repair.
• Install and commission compressors and compressed air systems.
• Recommend additional works that may assist customers or enhance the company’s performance.
• Maintain good professional working relationships with all existing and new customers.
• Maintain company vehicle, PPE, testing and other company equipment in accordance with guidelines.
