Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking an experienced Compressed Air Field Service Engineer. This role involves maintenance, breakdowns, and commissioning of compressed air equipment across the north west of England. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in compressed air technologies and be willing to travel extensively.

You will be responsible for attending customer sites, performing repairs and preventative maintenance, and communicating effectively with customers and technical teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the compressed air industry.
• PC literate with a full driving license.
• Ability to work alone whilst possessing balanced judgment.

Responsibilities

• Perform breakdown repairs on all compressed air generating equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on all compressed air generating equipment.
• Communicate professionally with customers and technical personnel.

Skills

Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical/mechanical systems

Extensive product knowledge within the compressed air industry

Ability to communicate well and deal with others

Education

Minimum HNC level in an Electrical/Electronic/Instrumentation or Electromechanical discipline

Job Summary

The opportunity has arisen to join the Ingersoll Rand Family. We are now looking for an experienced Compressed Air Field Service Engineer to join the team. Responsible for Maintenance, Breakdowns & Commissioning on all makes of Compressed air equipment. The role will mainly cover the north west of England however some further travel and overnight stays may be required. The ideal candidate will have experience in all types of compressed air technologies.

Responsibilities

• To attend the customer’s site to perform breakdown repairs on all compressed air generating equipment.
• To attend the customer’s site to perform preventative maintenance on all compressed air generating equipment.
• Maintain verbal and written communications with customers and others as seen necessary in a professional mannerLiaise with the technical or office-based personnel to achieve a clear understanding of specific job requirements as necessary
• Liaise with customers to ensure that any work is done with their approval
• Operate in accordance with company EHS guidelines

Basic Qualifications

Minimum HNC level in an Electrical/Electronic/Instrumentation or Electromechanical discipline

Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical/mechanical systems

Extensive product knowledge within the compressed air industryPC literate

Full driving license

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

Field based role, operating out of our Preston Office

Must be willing to travel extensively in north west England region with overnight stays as required
