Job summary
Ingersoll Rand plc is seeking an experienced Compressed Air Field Service Engineer to perform maintenance, breakdown, and commissioning on all makes of compressed air equipment, primarily covering the north west of England with travel and overnight stays. You will operate from the Preston office and travel extensively within north west England.
The role requires a minimum 5 years in the compressed air industry, strong diagnostic skills, and a customer-centric approach.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the compressed air industry.
- Proven diagnostic skills on complex electrical/mechanical systems.
- Extensive product knowledge within the compressed air industry.
- Ability to communicate well and deal with others.
- Commercial awareness and customer-centric approach.
Responsibilities
- Attend customer sites to perform breakdown repairs on compressed air equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on compressed air equipment.
- Maintain professional verbal and written communications with customers.
- Liaise with technical or office-based personnel to understand job requirements.
- Liaise with customers to obtain approval before work.
- Operate in accordance with company EHS guidelines.
