Job summary

Bystronic Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled field service engineer to maintain, repair, install and commission press brakes. You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and software faults and perform machine modifications and CNC/PLC parameter adjustments on-site.

Travel up to 90% within the region, train customers on operation and safety, complete service reports and order required parts.

Qualifications

Technical qualification in mechanical, electrical, mechatronic or a related engineering field.
At least 3 years of industrial machinery maintenance, installation or field service experience.
Experience with press brakes or CNC machinery is strongly preferred.
Ability to read electrical, hydraulic and mechanical documentation.

Responsibilities

Maintain, repair, install and commission Bystronic press brakes.
Diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and software-related faults.
Perform machine modifications, updates and retrofits.
Configure and adjust CNC/PLC systems and machine parameters.
Carry out software updates and verify correct machine operation.
Support complex troubleshooting cases and mentor less experienced technicians.
Train customers on machine operation, safety and maintenance.
Provide clear technical advice and take ownership of complex service or quality issues.
Complete service reports and update technical documentation in CRM.
Order required spare parts and share technical knowledge with colleagues.
