Job summary

Bystronic Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled field service engineer to maintain, repair, install and commission press brakes. You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and software faults and perform machine modifications and CNC/PLC parameter adjustments on-site.

Travel up to 90% within the region, train customers on operation and safety, complete service reports and order required parts.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in mechanical, electrical, mechatronic or a related engineering field.
• At least 3 years of industrial machinery maintenance, installation or field service experience.
• Experience with press brakes or CNC machinery is strongly preferred.
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulic and mechanical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, install and commission Bystronic press brakes.
• Diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and software-related faults.
• Perform machine modifications, updates and retrofits.
• Configure and adjust CNC/PLC systems and machine parameters.
• Carry out software updates and verify correct machine operation.
• Support complex troubleshooting cases and mentor less experienced technicians.
• Train customers on machine operation, safety and maintenance.
• Provide clear technical advice and take ownership of complex service or quality issues.
• Complete service reports and update technical documentation in CRM.
• Order required spare parts and share technical knowledge with colleagues.
