Field Service Engineer – CCTV & Access Control

Job summary

Reliance High-Tech is seeking a Service Engineer to cover South Wales, Gloucester and surrounding areas. You will provide professional engineering expertise and quality customer service during maintenance of CCTV, access control, intruder and intercom systems.

You’ll work across varied sites, from small installations to multi-site deployments, applying fault-finding skills and knowledge of TCP/IP networks. A strong safety record and willingness to attend out-of-hours calls are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 in Electronic Security or equivalent proven experience
• Knowledge of Access control / CCTV / Intercom / Intruder systems (minimum 4 years)
• Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
• Health and Safety
• TCP/IP and network fundamentals
• Intergrate CCTV platforms such as Synergy/Milestone/Genetec/FLIR/Eagle Eye/ProWatch
• Intercom platforms such as Commend
• IOSH/CSCS qualification recommended
• IPAF and Working at Height credentials
• EUSR

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in fault finding and repairs of PC/Network based and analogue security systems.
• Support CCTV operating systems from small scale systems to large multi-site installations.
• Support Access Control, Intruder, Intercom systems across sites.
• Understand fibre optic transmission, LAN/WAN networks and radio telemetry for fault resolution.
• Offer emergency solutions out of hours as rota requires.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure delivery of the agreed scope.
• Participate in team meetings and performance reviews.
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge through training.
• Operate according to business applications and processes.
