Finning (UK) Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer willing to work at customer sites in Bolden and Gateshead. You will diagnose mechanical or electrical issues, communicate findings, and support quote preparation with detailed problem analysis.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained / Formally trained Engineer (NVQ Level 3 preferred)
• Experience as a field service engineer or similar role
• Knowledge of field-based diagnosis tools and equipment
• LDV driving licence

Responsibilities

• Provide arrival time estimates to customers based on job instructions.
• Coordinate with site management to register arrival and adhere to procedures.
• Diagnose equipment problems with customer input to prepare a detailed work plan for quoting.
• Identify parts needed and arrange delivery times for follow-up visits.
• Perform on-site repair and service to bring machines to required standards.
