Job summary

Finning UK & Ireland is seeking a New Equipment Preparation Engineer for our Cannock workshop. You will prepare Caterpillar machines for customers, supporting major infrastructure projects, with a focus on safety, quality and timely delivery.

You’ll work in a large team, handling pre-delivery preparation, customisation and documentation, with access to dealer-standard tooling and a company-wide benefits package. Training and career growth are supported.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and adaptable
• Effective problem solving skills
• Knowledge of good workshop practices
• Current working knowledge in a mechanical discipline

Responsibilities

• Complete health and safety pre-work documentation and liaise with the customer service team for excellent customer experience
• Carry out safe pre-delivery preparation and customisation of earth moving equipment, attachments and components
• Complete daily preparation tasks following standard work instructions to high standards
• Keep workshop and work area clean and orderly per CAT contamination control guidelines and for safety
