Job summary

Medequip Assistive Technology Ltd in Norwich is seeking a Service Engineer to service, maintain and repair equipment in service users’ homes and in-house, helping customers stay independent.

Your day-to-day will include delivering and collecting disability equipment, managing multiple service jobs, conducting risk assessments, using a weight rig for hoists, and ensuring safe installation.

Qualifications

• Must have a service or maintenance background.
• Ideally 1 year or more experience in a similar role within public, healthcare or a service based industry.
• Must hold a full, in date driving license.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting disability equipment to service users’ homes, hospitals and health centres.
• Managing multiple service jobs daily, including heavy items such as beds.
• Providing polite, empathetic, client-focused service.
• Undertake risk assessments.
• Using a weight rig to service and maintain hoists and other equipment.
• Ensure correct functionality and safe installation of items; identify repairs as needed.
• Adhere to timeslots and liaise with service users if delays occur.
• On-call on a rotational basis with enhanced allowance.
