Job summary

Anton Paar Ltd., a leader in laboratory instrumentation, seeks a Field Service Engineer to maintain, calibrate and repair analytical systems across the Midlands and UK. The role involves travel to customer sites and occasional overnight stays, with full technical training provided.

You will diagnose complex instruments, provide remote support, and collaborate with the service team on multi-instrument contracts. A driving license and CRMs experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• HNC or higher in Engineering or Science; electronics preferred.
• Proven field service experience on complex analytical instruments at customer sites.
• Full, clean UK driving license and willingness to travel with overnight stays.
• Experience with compressed gas systems and potentially hazardous substances.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform preventative maintenance and calibration at customer sites, following service standards and documenting activities.
• Diagnose and repair instruments at customer sites or in-house, with detailed service reports.
• Provide remote technical support via phone and online channels to customers and colleagues.
