Job summary

Generator Power is recruiting a Field Service Engineer to join their Midlands team, reporting to the new Warwick depot. The role offers a 40-hour week (Mon–Fri) with overtime, a company vehicle and mobile, and weekly pay. Responsibilities include servicing, fault diagnosis, site installation, and paperwork.

Experience with generators or heavy plant is required. Based in the Midlands, you will travel to hire fleet sites and customers, participate in a call-out rota, and help safeguard assets.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering field service/maintenance on generators or heavy plant equipment.
• Able to fault locate, diagnose and rectify on hire fleet and customer equipment.
• Familiar with installation, commissioning and on-site electrical/or mechanical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned service and maintenance on hire fleet and customers' equipment.
• Fault location, diagnosis and rectification on equipment.
• Prepare equipment for hire and install/commission power on site.
• Unload/load vehicles and operate on a call-out rota.
• Complete paperwork accurately and safeguard company assets.

Generator Power is the UK's largest and privately owned generator rental company having enjoyed over 26 years of supply in the industry. Generator Power has experienced rapid growth in recent years and is undergoing further expansion, providing an excellent opportunity for a Field Service Engineer based in the Midlands area but reporting to our brand new depot in Warwick

• Monday to Friday - 40 hours a week, 8:00AM - 17:00PM + overtime rates

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned service and maintenance work on both hire fleet and customers' equipment.
• Fault location, diagnosis and rectification to hire fleet and customers' equipment.
• Preparation of equipment for hire.
• Installation and disconnection of equipment on site. (Synchronizing where appropriate).
• Installation and commissioning of power to temporary site accommodation.(Wiring in where appropriate).
• Loading and unloading of vehicles.
• Carry out duties on a call-out rota system.
• Completion and submission of all company paperwork as per procedure.
• Safeguard all Company assets; nothing leaves the depot without correct paperwork.
