Job summary

Generator Power in Bowburn Depot is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service, repair and respond to breakdowns on hire fleet and customers' equipment across sites in the UK. The role is predominantly field based with Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.

You will perform planned service, diagnose faults, install and commission power equipment, handle loading and unloading, and complete all company paperwork.

Qualifications

• Experience on generators/plant equipment/heavy engineering (or similar)

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned service and maintenance on hire fleet and customers' equipment.
• Fault location, diagnosis and rectification on hire fleet and customers' equipment.
• Preparation of equipment for hire.
• Installation and commissioning of power to temporary site accommodation.
• Loading and unloading of vehicles.
• Carry out duties on call out rota system.
• General housekeeping to keep work areas tidy.
• Completion and submission of all company paperwork.
• Safeguard company assets and ensure proper paperwork for all movements.
• Keep company vehicle/loan vehicle clean, serviced, and report defects promptly.

Monday - Friday. 40 Hours Per Week

Predominately field based role on customer sites carrying out routine servicing, repairs and responding to breakdowns

Salary/rate to be discussed at interview.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Carry out planned service and maintenance work on both hire fleet and customers equipment.
• Fault location, diagnosis and rectification to hire fleet and customers' equipment.
• Preparation of equipment for hire.
• Installation and commissioning of power to temporary site accommodation. (Wiring in where appropriate).
• Loading and unloading of vehicles.
• Carry out duties on call out rota system.
• Carry out general housekeeping to ensure work areas are tidy.
• Completion and submission of all company paperwork as per procedure.
• Safeguard all Company assets; nothing leaves the depot without correct paperwork. .
• Ensure company vehicle or occasional loan vehicle supplied is kept clean and tidy at all times, serviced within manufacturer’s guidelines, and ensure any defects are notified to correct parties and rectified in a timely manner.
