Job summary

ETS Consulting Ltd. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service and commission hydraulic presses from Walsall with UK travel and occasional overseas assignments.

The role includes testing equipment, training customers, and providing on-site and remote support to customers. The ideal candidate will have mechanical/electrical engineering qualifications, PLC fault-finding experience, and the ability to travel.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Maintenance/Service Engineer.
• PLC fault-finding experience.
• Travel up to 2 overnight stays per week.

Responsibilities

• In-house testing of hydraulic presses and associated equipment.
• Provide customer training on all machinery.
• Deliver on-site and remote technical support to customers.
• Liaise with customers at all levels in a professional manner, maintaining a positive company image.
• UK-based travel with occasional overseas travel required.

My client is a market leading company who have been designing and supplying hydraulic presses for over 30 years. The expansion and development of this secure organisation has been built on reputation and the ability to deliver consistently to their clients. Due to further expansion within the British market, they have the need to recruit an additional field service engineer, with service and commissioning experience.

Key Responsibilities

• In-house testing of hydraulic presses and associated equipment.
• Provide customer training on all machinery.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer or Service Engineer.
• Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering qualification.
• PLC fault-finding experience.
• Excellent understanding and experience of hydraulic system fault finding.
• Previous experience working with customers at all levels.
• Ability to travel at short notice.
• Full valid UK driving licence.
• Live within a commutable distance of Walsall.
• Travel on average 2 overnight stays per week
