Job summary

Pioneer Selection is seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover the South of England, primarily across South England customer sites. You’ll install, service, maintain and repair a range of industrial equipment, ensuring top-class service.

The role offers door-to-door overtime and ongoing training within a growing engineering business. Applicants should have a strong electrical/mechanical background, a Level 3+ engineering qualification, a full UK driving licence, and be within 40 miles of Reading

• Experience in automated environments (Manufacturing/Industrial).
• Engineering qualification at least Level 3 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain and repair industrial equipment across customer sites in the South of England.

Job Role

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Field Service Engineer (Must Have)

• Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer
• Strong electrical and/or mechanical engineering background
• Experience working in automated environment (Manufacturing or Industrial)
• Engineering qualification (minimum Level 3 or equivalent)
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Must live within a 40-mile radius of Reading
• Willingness to travel across the South of England

Essential Requirements

• Experience servicing, maintaining and repairing industrial or manufacturing equipment
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills on electrical and mechanical systems
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures
• Flexible approach to travel and occasional overtime

Desirable Requirements

• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics or automated machinery
• PLC fault-finding experience
• Installation and commissioning experience
• Previous experience working within manufacturing, industrial, packaging or material handling environments
