Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd in Dudley is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Hydraulics) to service, install and repair specialist industrial equipment across the UK. Job description

Based in Dudley, this permanent Field Service Engineer (Hydraulics) position carries a salary between £35,000 and £45,000, plus overtime and a company vehicle. You will travel to client locations across the UK, performing scheduled maintenance, installation, and repair of specialist industrial equipment. A substantial portion of your day involves diagnosing faults and resolving issues with hydraulic systems on heavy machinery. The role suits a mechanically minded individual with prior hydraulics experience. You will work independently, managing your own schedule, and liaising with customers on site. This field-based role requires a full driving licence and a methodical approach to problem-solving, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.

The Role
  • Servicing, maintaining and repairing industrial machinery at customer sites

  • Replacing and repairing hydraulic components including pumps, valves, cylinders and pipework
  • Producing service reports and supporting customers with technical advice
  • Ensuring work is carried out safely and to a high standard

This is a mobile role covering customer sites, offering a varied working environment with no two days the same.
