Job summary

Manpower Group (UK) is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Hydraulics) to service, maintain, install and repair specialist industrial equipment across customer sites in the UK. The role focuses on hydraulics as a key element of daily work, with a mobile field-based pattern and a strong emphasis on fault finding and safe workmanship.

You will diagnose hydraulic and mechanical faults, replace components such as pumps, valves and cylinders, and produce service reports.

Qualifications

  • Experience in field service engineering.
  • Mechanical maintenance and fault finding.
  • Hydraulic systems and components.
  • Experience with heavy industrial machinery.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Servicing, maintaining and repairing industrial machinery at customer sites.
  • Diagnosing and rectifying hydraulic and mechanical faults.
  • Installing and commissioning equipment.
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance.
  • Replacing and repairing hydraulic components including pumps, valves and pipework.
  • Producing service reports and supporting customers with technical advice.
  • Ensuring work is carried out safely and to a high standard.

West Midlands | £30,000 - £45,000 + Overtime + Company Vehicle


Are you a mechanically minded Engineer with experience working on hydraulic systems?
We're recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join a well-established engineering business supporting customers across the UK. This is a field-based role focused on the service, maintenance, installation and repair of specialist industrial equipment, with hydraulics forming a key part of the day-to-day work.

The Role


As a Field Service Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Servicing, maintaining and repairing industrial machinery at customer sites
  • Diagnosing and rectifying hydraulic and mechanical faults
  • Installing and commissioning equipment
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance
  • Replacing and repairing hydraulic components including pumps, valves, cylinders and pipework
  • Producing service reports and supporting customers with technical advice
  • Ensuring work is carried out safely and to a high standard


This is a mobile role covering customer sites, offering a varied working environment with no two days the same.
