Job summary

ATA Recruitment seeks a Field Service Engineer to join a leading fluid power systems company in Gloucestershire. The role covers service, installation and commissioning of hydraulic and mechanical systems with occasional away stays.

You will be trained extensively, with a company van, pension, and private healthcare benefits. Excellent career development opportunities available through ongoing training.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with mechanical and hydraulic systems.
  • Installation experience and ability to strip and rebuild mechanical components.
  • Pip fitting and pipe bending with basic electrical awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Service, repair, installation and commissioning of fluid power systems on site.
  • Diagnostics and testing to ensure proper function and fault diagnosis.
  • Coordinate with Project Management and Installations Manager for planning and delivery.

Role - Field Service Engineer

Salary - £38,000 to £45,000 (DOE)

Location - Gloucestershire / South West with occasional stay aways

Shift Pattern - Days - Monday to Friday

The Company

A reputable and thriving company that design, manufacture, install and service fluid power systems and components for clients across Aerospace, Automotive and Manufacturing.

They have continued to grow and evolve and have expand to supply to other sectors, therefore seen as a market leader within their industry.

Additionally, they have made huge investment in their infrastructure and systems to have the most up to date technology that means that their customer benefit from a more streamlined process.

They offers fantastic training opportunities for their Onsite Service Team including yearly budget allocations for development, detailed training and Health & Safety Training.

The Role

As the Field Service Engineer, you are the front line of the installation and maintenance function and therefore you will offer excellent customer service, positive attitude, professional ethics and high levels of support to both customers and internal team members.

  • Service, repair, installation and commissioning of the full range of Fluid Power systems and components, in line with company procedures and policy.
  • Repairs, service, installation and commissioning of Hydraulic, Mechanical & related Fluid Power components and systems.
  • Carry out testing to ensure accurate fault diagnosis and correct installation/functionality.
  • Coordinate with the Project Management Team and Site Services & Installations Manager, in order to ensure effective planning, organisation and delivery of all site works/services.
What They're Looking For
  • Hands-on experience working on mechanical and hydraulic systems.
  • Installation experience and mechanical strip-down and rebuild skills
  • Pipfitting, pipe bending and basic electric awareness
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently
  • Flexible and able to work away occasionally
  • A willingness to learn and develop through ongoing training

The business is happy to consider experienced engineers, maintenance engineers with strong hydraulic systems or fluidpower exposure
