Job summary

Agfa-Gevaert is seeking an X-Ray Field Service Engineer to deliver installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of imaging products across the North of England. You will travel to customer sites and work with ICT/electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance.

You'll collaborate with the Shared Service Centre, maintain test equipment, and develop knowledge while building strong relationships with customers and partners.

Qualifications

• HNC/D degree in electromechanics, electronics, computer science or engineering, or substantial relevant experience.
• Field service experience preferred.
• Strong IT, MS Office and Networking skills; valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate and service imaging equipment at customer sites.
• Coordinate with Shared Service Centre for updates and installation of products.
• Maintain test equipment and spare parts per policy.
• Expand knowledge and share improvements with colleagues and customers.
• Build relationships with internal and external partners.

Job description

As an X-Ray Field Service Engineer, you deliver technical support, maintenance, and repair services for Agfa Radiology’s state-of-the‑art imaging products. You will be travelling to customer sites and you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance and servicing of imaging equipment and associated ICT/electrical equipment, to ensure the proper functioning and optimal performance of our products. You act as a liaison between Agfa Radiology Solutions and our customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and timely resolution of technical issues.

Responsibilities:

• Work in cooperation with Agfa’s Shared Service Centre to carry out service, maintenance, updates and installation of products.
• Maintain all test equipment, tools and company property in good and working orderand process spare parts in accordance with policy
• Expand your knowledge and that of colleagues and customers, ensuring continuous development and improvement
• Build relationships and maintain team working with all internal and external partners
• Adhere to regulatory requirements and company’s policies and work procedures
• Identify and upscale situations impacting customer satisfaction and/or contractual obligations
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team within the organisation to ensure achievement of goals

Experience and Qualifications

• You have an HNC/D degree in electromechanics, electronics, computer science or engineering; alternatively qualified by extensive experience
• Ideally you will have previous field service experience where you have undertaken similar type of work.
• You have strong IT, Microsoft Office and Networking Infrastructure skills
• You hold a full UK driving license
