Job summary

WR Engineering in the Midland region is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, service and repair X-ray scanning equipment at customer sites across the Midlands. You will diagnose faults, carry out preventative maintenance and provide first-class technical support.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will work independently with a UK driving licence and benefit from a company van, phone and laptop along with pension and holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience servicing X-ray scanning equipment.
• Strong electrical, electronic and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with PLC-controlled or capital equipment would be advantageous.
• Excellent customer-facing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair X-ray scanning equipment.
• Install and commission new systems at customer sites.

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance.
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately.

Our client is a leading supplier of X-ray scanning and inspection equipment, providing installation, servicing and technical support to customers across the security, industrial and manufacturing sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Field Service Engineer to cover the Midlands region.

The Role

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance and repair of X-ray scanning equipment at customer sites. You will diagnose faults, carry out preventative maintenance and ensure customers receive a first-class level of technical support.
