We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Engineer based in Sunderland, for one of our clients on a full-time permanent basis. Our client is a large, growing and reputable manufacturer and supplier of construction equipment on an international scale.

Responsibilities

1. Carry out maintenance and repair work on earthmoving equipment.
2. Carry out servicing, inspection and repair of earthmoving machinery.
3. Perform diagnostic work and fault finding.
4. Develop relationships with customers.
5. Participate in the early stages with the effective processing of warranty claims.
6. Investigate specific customer problems on a project-by-project basis, providing technical reports.
7. Escalate actions in relation to broken or damaged company equipment.

Requirements

1. Mechanical and electrical engineering experience.
2. Heavy Plant or agriculture experience.
3. NVQ Level 3 in a related industry.
4. Full clean driving licence.
5. Strong IT skills with the ability to run diagnostic repairs.

Summary of the Field Service Engineer role:

Salary: £17.45 - £19.36 per hour
Job Location: Field-based covering Sunderland
Type of Contract: Permanent, Full time
Hours: 40 hours a week
