Job summary

NCR Atleos in the UK is seeking a Field Service Engineer to diagnose faults and repair ATM modules on-site in Sheffield. You will install, maintain and repair equipment within an assigned territory, take ownership of customer issues and ensure SLA compliance.

The role involves travel, lifting, and long hours; full training provided. A valid UK manual driving licence is required and a strong mechanical/electrical aptitude. Company vehicle with fuel card is provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Full UK manual driving licence.
• Strong local geographical knowledge.
• Experience in break/fix, IT, computer/mechanical repair.
• Basic computer hardware and software knowledge.
• Experience with Windows operating systems.
• Experience in general PC hardware and software maintenance.
• High level of mechanical/electrical aptitude.
• PIA licences desirable; if not held, training provided.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and customer-facing relationships.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, strong problem-solving skills, quick learner, and able to work under pressure.

Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Location: Sheffield - Field Work

Salary: £31,000 - £33,000 depending on experience

Hours: 42.5 per week across 5days with weekend work on rota basis

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Diagnose faults and perform repair or replacement of ATM modules on-site
• Install, maintain, and repair equipment within an assigned territory/region
• Take ownership of customer issues or incidents, ensuring satisfaction and compliance with Service Level Agreements
• Carry out work with adherence to the Health & Safety Policy
• Role may involve prolonged travel, lifting and carrying toolkits/parts of varying weights, and bending, squatting, walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods
• Full training and equipment provided. Company vehicle available for personal use (fuel card included; BIK and mileage usage fee per mile apply)

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Full UK manual driving license
• Strong local geographical knowledge
• Experience in break/fix, IT, computer/mechanical repair

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NOT ESSENTIAL):

• NCR/Wincor ATMs experience
• Previous Field Based experience
• Previous Engineering experience

• 42.5-hour contract with weekend work on rota basis; 5 days over 7 (8.5 hours + 30 minutes brake)
