Job summary

Polkadotfrog is seeking a Service Engineer for a Suffolk-based client. The role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing machinery with extensive UK and international travel.

You will visit client sites monthly, complete service reports and ensure safety standards. A full UK driving licence and valid passport are required, with a bonus and travel expenses up to £10,000 available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Service Engineer servicing, maintaining and repairing industrial or commercial equipment.
• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical and/or hydraulic systems.
• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Flexibility required with overnight stays nationwide and worldwide travel.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Valid passport is required.

Responsibilities

• Complete installation, maintenance and service work to ensure customer and company satisfaction.
• Perform site acceptance testing to confirm equipment is fully operational.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance in line with service schedules.
• Provide ongoing and remote technical support to clients.
• Complete detailed service reports including WO, scrap reports and timesheets.
• Report any H&S issues and inspect safety equipment.

As the Service Engineer, you'll provide high-level service support in this role, including installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing machinery/equipment. This role will involve travel within the UK and abroad, as well as regular visits to clients on a monthly basis.

Key responsibilities as the Service Engineer

• Completing installation, maintenance and service work, ensuring customer and company satisfaction
• Performing site acceptance testing to ensure equipment is fully operational
