Job summary

Coalesce Recruitment Limited is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service a range of mechanical and hydraulic equipment across Norfolk and Suffolk. You will be trained and supported to gain recognised industry certification, with a company van, tools, workwear and ongoing development.

The role covers planned and unplanned service and breakdown work on vehicle fleets, with scope to travel further when required. Experience in mechanical engineering or plant machinery is preferred.

Qualifications

• Qualified in mechanical engineering, vehicle mechanics or plant machinery.
• Experience with mechanical equipment and fault finding beneficial.
• Willingness to learn hydraulic systems and electrical aspects.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and unplanned service and breakdown repairs to vehicle fleets across Norfolk and Suffolk and beyond.
• Utilise hand tools and your mechanical knowledge to service and repair equipment.
• Participate in training and gain industry certifications.

Field Service Engineer – Nationwide Service Provider – Norfolk / Suffolk – Salary: £29,120 - £31,200 + door to door + overtime = £40k - £45k + Company Van + Tools + Workwear + Training

On joining this business you will be trained on how to repair and service a wide range of mechanical and hydraulic equipment including load lifters, steps, cranes, ramps, winches and moving decks and in turn gain a recognised industry certification.

As Field Service Engineer you will carry out both planned and unplanned service and breakdown repair to customers vehicle fleets throughout Norfolk and Suffolk and further afield when required.

You will ideally be qualified in mechanical engineering, vehicle mechanics, plant machinery or similar; be comfortable using various hand tools and have some experience in repairing, maintaining or servicing mechanical equipment. Any prior knowledge or experience of hydraulics and basic fault finding on 12 & 24 volt electrics would be beneficial although full training will be provided.

Previous experience of working on heavy vehicle plant / machinery, forklift trucks, agricultural machinery, compactors, bailers, road sweepers, telehandlers or similar equipment is a distinct advantage, though not essential.
