Job summary

Coalesce Recruitment Limited is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service a wide range of mechanical and hydraulic equipment across Norfolk and Suffolk, with training to gain industry certification. You will be supported by a team and provided with a company van, tools, workwear and ongoing training.

The role requires hands-on mechanical skills, willingness to travel, and a commitment to long-term career development within a supportive company network.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate has relevant mechanical/vehicle qualifications and hands-on repair experience.
• Comfort with hand tools; training on hydraulic equipment will be provided.
• Willingness to travel across Norfolk/Suffolk for service visits.

• Carry out planned and unplanned service and breakdown repairs to customer fleets across Norfolk/Suffolk and beyond as required.

Job description

Field Service Engineer – Nationwide Service Provider – Norfolk / Suffolk – Salary: £29,120 - £31,200 + door to door + overtime = £40k - £45k + Company Van + Tools + Workwear + Training

On joining this business you will be trained on how to repair and service a wide range of mechanical and hydraulic equipment including load lifters, steps, cranes, ramps, winches and moving decks and in turn gain a recognised industry certification.

As Field Service Engineer you will carry out both planned and unplanned service and breakdown repair to customers vehicle fleets throughout Norfolk and Suffolk and further afield when required.

You will ideally be qualified in mechanical engineering, vehicle mechanics, plant machinery or similar; be comfortable using various hand tools and have some experience in repairing, maintaining or servicing mechanical equipment. Any prior knowledge or experience of hydraulics and basic fault finding on 12 & 24 volt electrics would be beneficial although full training will be provided.

Previous experience of working on heavy vehicle plant / machinery, forklift trucks, agricultural machinery, compactors, bailers, road sweepers, telehandlers or similar equipment is a distinct advantage, though not essential.
