Job summary

Coalesce Recruitment Limited seeks a Field Service Engineer to service and repair a range of mechanical and hydraulic equipment across Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire and nearby regions. You will repair, service and fault-find on site and on customer fleets, with on-call duties as described.

The role includes full training, a company van, tools, workwear and ongoing career development. Successful candidates will join a supportive team and gain recognised industry certification upon progression.

Qualifications

• Qualified in mechanical engineering or vehicle mechanics, or similar field.
• Experience repairing, maintaining or servicing mechanical equipment.
• Understanding hydraulics and basic 12/24V electrical fault finding; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and unplanned service and breakdown repairs on customer fleets.
• Cover Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire and surrounding areas.
• Be on-call 1 in 4 weekends and 2 evenings per week.

Field Service Engineer - Nationwide Service Provider - Northamptonshire / Bedfordshire - Salary: £29,120 - £33,280 + door to door + call out + overtime = £40k - £50k ++ Company Van + Tools + Workwear + Training

On joining this business you will be trained on how to repair and service a wide range of mechanical and hydraulic equipment including load lifters, steps, cranes, ramps, winches and moving decks and in turn gain a recognised industry certification.

As Field Service Engineer you will carry out both planned and unplanned service and breakdown repair to customers vehicle fleets throughout Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire and the local surrounding region.

The role will require you to be on-call 1 in 4 weekends and 2 evenings during the week.

You will ideally be qualified in mechanical engineering, vehicle mechanics, plant machinery or similar; have previous experience in repairing, maintaining or servicing mechanical equipment, plant or machinery as well as experience or an understanding of hydraulics and basic fault finding on 12 & 24 volt electrics although full training will be provided.
