Job summary

Coalesce Recruitment Limited is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service and repair a range of mechanical and hydraulic equipment across Somerset, Avon, and parts of Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. You will be trained on fixed assets and gain industry certification while earning an OTE in the £40k-£50k range.

You will work with a strong support network and receive a company van, tools, workwear and ongoing training, with weekend on-call duties and 2 weekday evenings as part of the rota.

Qualifications

• Qualified in mechanical engineering, vehicle mechanics or plant machinery.
• Comfortable using hand tools and performing repairs.
• Hydraulics knowledge is beneficial; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and unplanned service and breakdown repairs on customer fleets.
• Respond to service calls across Somerset, Avon and Wiltshire/Gloucestershire as required.
• Work with on-call duties: 1 in 4 weekends and 2 evenings per week.

Field Service Engineer – Nationwide Service Provider – Somerset / Avon / Wiltshire / Gloucestershire – Salary: £29,120 - £31,200 + door to door + on-call + overtime = £40k - £50k + Company Van + Tools + Workwear + Training

On joining this business you will be trained on how to repair and service a wide range of mechanical and hydraulic equipment including load lifters, steps, cranes, ramps, winches and moving decks and in turn gain a recognised industry certification.

As Field Service Engineer you will carry out both planned and unplanned service and breakdown repair to customers vehicle fleets throughout Somerset, Avon and parts of Wiltshire and Gloucestershire when required.

The role will require you to be on-call 1 in 4 weekends and 2 evenings during the week.

You will ideally be qualified in mechanical engineering, vehicle mechanics, plant machinery or similar; be comfortable using various hand tools and have some experience in repairing, maintaining or servicing mechanical equipment. Any prior knowledge or experience of hydraulics and basic fault finding on 12 & 24 volt electrics would be beneficial although full training will be provided.

Previous experience of working on heavy vehicle plant / machinery, forklift trucks, agricultural machinery, compactors, bailers, road sweepers, telehandlers or similar equipment is a distinct advantage, though not essential.
