Job summary

Clear Engineering Recruitment Ltd seeks a Field Service Engineer (Power Generation) in Bolton. You will service, maintain and repair CHP and gas engines, work on renewable energy systems, and handle electrical fault finding across three-phase drives and motors.

The role is field-based with Monday–Friday territory coverage, offering a competitive base (£37,000–£38,750) plus overtime and benefits, with progression opportunities in a growing renewables sector.

Qualifications

• Experience with CHP, Gas Engines, Generators or industrial plant.
• Electrical fault finding on three-phase systems, drives and motors.
• Time served or formal electrical/mechanical qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service, maintenance, and breakdowns
• Working on CHP, GAS Engines and renewable energy systems
• Electrical fault finding and repairs (ComAp, three phase, drives, motors, PLC)
• Customer facing role
• Monday to Friday covering surrounding territory

Background Required:

• Experience working with 450KW+
• Familiar with CHP, Gas Engines, Generators, Industrial Plant or similar
• Experience as a Service Engineer/ Maintenance Engineer/ Marine Engineer
• Electrical or Mechanical qualifications or time served (NVQ, HNC or equivalent)
