Job summary

Selwood Limited in Bedford is seeking a Service Electrician to maintain and service temporary pumping equipment across customer sites. You will carry out electrical servicing, inspection, testing, fault finding and preventative maintenance, ensuring safety and compliance with BS7671 and BS7430.

You will work independently on site, travel to planned appointments, document activities and maintain excellent customer relations while representing the company brand.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent.
• JIB Qualified Electrician with ECS Gold card eligibility (18th edition BS7671).
• 2391/2392 inspections and testing qualification.
• Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel regularly.
• Proven electrician experience in construction or pump industry.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, and maintain electrical components of pumping equipment on customer sites.
• Plan servicing and inspection activities and coordinate with customers.
• Complete RAMS and obtain required permissions before site attendance.
• Document servicing, inspections, and maintenance in company systems.
• Conduct periodic electrical inspection/testing per BS7671 and BS7430.
• Diagnose faults in pumps, motors, panels, inverters and related systems.
• Maintain customer relations and act as company ambassador on site.
