Job summary

Selwood Limited is seeking a Service Electrician to join the Liverpool branch. You will service electrical components on temporary pumping equipment, run inspections, fault finding and preventative maintenance across customer sites.

You will work independently, travel to planned sites, maintain safety standards, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation. The role may include on-call requirements and requires a UK-driving licence and robust reporting skills.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in electrical installations or equivalent.
• JIB qualification and ECS Gold card (18th edition BS7671).
• 2391/2392 inspections and testing qualifications.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
• Experience as an electrician in construction or pump industry desirable.
• Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills; independent site work.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and service electrical components on pumping equipment.
• Plan and coordinate servicing activities and site attendance with customers.
• Ensure site access, RAMS and documentation are prepared in advance.
• Record service activities and compliance paperwork in company systems.
• Perform periodic electrical inspection and testing per BS7671.
• Diagnose faults on pumps, motors, control panels and inverters.
