Job summary
Selwood Ltd is seeking a hands‑on Electrician/Maintenance Technician to join our Stoke branch workshop. You will maintain and assess our electrical fleet of pumps and control panels in a fixed location, with a clear daily routine.
The role requires ECS Gold Card, NVQ3 in Electrical Installations or Electrical Maintenance, AM2, IEE Wiring Regulations 18th edition, and proven experience with 3‑phase wiring, motors and control panels.
Qualifications
- ECS Gold Card – Installation or Maintenance Electrician (essential)
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or Electrical Maintenance (essential)
- AM2 (essential)
- IEE Wiring Regulations 18th edition (essential)
- Proven experience with 3‑phase wiring, motors, and control panels
- Demonstrable experience working as an electrician in industrial or commercial sectors
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits & components
- Methodical approach to schedules and checks
- Well organized with paperwork and stock management
- Outlook and Word proficiency
- Willingness to coach apprentices and new staff
Responsibilities
- Repair, test and maintain all electrical/mechanical pump sets and electrical control panels
- Carry out diagnostics, fault-finding, and modifications from wiring diagrams and specifications
- Prepare reports and repair estimates using company systems
- Ensure compliance with electrical regulations and safety standards
- Maintain clean, safe working environment and properly store tools/equipment
- Communicate clearly with managers and colleagues, and collaborate with Installation, Sales and Fleet Support
