We're a family-owned business of 4 generations, manufacturing 99.5% of our products on-site in central Scotland.

Since 1974, Scottish Fine Soaps has been sourcing inspirational ingredients with unique fragrances and beauty benefits from Scotland and around the world.

We are now seeking an experienced Field Sales Executive to join our close-knit team to expand our customer base and continue providing superb service to our existing clients.

The role is primarily based at home, with approximately 4.5 days "on the road" and the remaining half day dedicated to admin and planning.

We offer a competitive salary, bonus scheme, company car, and a company credit card for business expenses.

The ideal candidate will have prior sales experience, preferably in luxury toiletries, though relevant experience is also valued. A full driving license is essential. Basic computer skills in Word, Excel, or PowerPoint are required. The candidate should be self-motivated, enjoy autonomy, and thrive on job satisfaction and financial rewards. The territory is large, requiring travel away from home 3 to 5 nights per month depending on location.

Purpose of the position

  • Maximize sales within the designated territory.
  • Territory: England (2 positions available).
  • Enhance the reputation of Scottish Fine Soaps with customers.

Key Objectives

  1. Identify the best retailers in the territory.
  2. Determine appropriate call frequency.
  3. Take direct orders with a target strike rate of 60%.
  4. Train and encourage store staff to recommend our products.
  5. Record customer information accurately in the database.
  6. Complete weekly reports and other paperwork promptly.
  7. Analyze customer performance and identify opportunities using Phocas software.

Other responsibilities

  • Arrange bespoke promotional activities with larger accounts.
  • Attend trade shows and sales meetings.
  • Monitor and report on competitor activity.
  • Assist in other business functions as required.
