Job summary

Motorola Solutions in the United Kingdom is seeking a Field Operations Engineer to maintain and repair the Airwave Network. The role covers RF and transmission systems, rare climbing tasks, and incident response across multiple sites with a strong emphasis on safety and documentation.

The engineer will operate and maintain TETRA base stations, microwave transmission and related equipment, with travel across South Wales and the Mid West region as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in RF and transmission networks.
• Proficient in working at height and climbing.
• UK driving licence is essential for regional travel.
• Willingness to travel across the region as required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to network incidents and NOC alerts.
• Perform planned maintenance and fault diagnosis.
• Climb towers and perform rigging tasks.
• Coordinate with scheduling for site access and daily fault rectification.
