Job summary

Airwave Solutions Limited in the UK is seeking a skilled Field Operations Engineer to maintain the Airwave Network, including TETRA base stations and microwave equipment. Travel across South Wales and the Midlands is required, with occasional regional or national duties.

You'll respond to network incidents, perform planned maintenance, and climb structures as needed, supported by strong NOC coordination and safety training.

Qualifications

• Experience with RF and transmission networks in field environments.
• Proven ability to work at height and perform climb tasks.
• Familiarity with antenna/ODU replacement and feeder testing.

Responsibilities

• Respond to network incidents, with 24/7 coverage via on-call rota.
• Perform planned maintenance on Airwave base sites and microwave equipment.
• Carry out site upgrades, equipment installations and fault diagnoses (1st/2nd line).
• Engage in rigging, climbing activities and safety procedures as required.
• Plan daily/weekly workload with scheduling team to meet SLAs.
