Job summary

Motorola Solutions UK Limited is looking for an experienced RF test engineer to anchor verification from prototype through to production release. You will operate at the heart of the Systems Engineering team, coordinating validation strategies, lab and field testing, and cross-domain fault-finding across hardware, RF, software and mechanical interfaces.

You’ll apply hands-on diagnostics with spectrum analyzers, signal generators and oscilloscopes, balancing rigorous testing with rapid iteration,

Qualifications

• Experience in test, validation, or integration of complex RF or electronics-based systems, preferably in an NPI or R&D environment.
• Hands-on proficiency with spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes to verify RF performance.
• Methodical troubleshooting of integrated hardware/software issues with proactive design-phase critique.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• Practical, evidence-driven mindset and ability to work with imperfect prototypes while balancing pace and verification confidence.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute system-level validation plans balancing testing rigor with delivery speed.
• Plan and conduct functional, performance, and stress testing in lab and field environments.
• Validate complete systems integrating hardware, RF, software, and mechanics.
• Lead root-cause investigations across domains to support fault-finding from embedded to mechanical levels.
• Develop and maintain test rigs, fixtures, and automated procedures to improve repeatability.
• Produce clear, evidence-based documentation for reviews, NPI handover, and changes.
