Job summary

Nationwide Platforms Ltd. is seeking a Mobile Service Engineer to join the team in the UK. The role involves visiting customer sites and depots to maintain, repair, and inspect powered access equipment to high standards.

You will perform fault-finding, routine servicing and refurbishment as required, while ensuring accurate paperwork and health & safety compliance. An emphasis on teamwork, customer service, and proactive problem solving is essential.

Qualifications

Relevant general maintenance qualification and proven experience gained within the plant rental sector.
Experience in plant, diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics and diagnostics/fault finding.
Ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure.
Good interpersonal skills and a good understanding of the importance of excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Fault-finding, servicing, repairs and maintenance of powered access equipment at depot and customer sites.
Routine service and maintenance of all equipment and products.
Complete all relevant supporting paperwork in line with company procedures.
Carry out refurbishment of equipment where necessary.
Promote teamwork across depots to ensure effective workshop performance.
Estimate and advise on equipment repair costs and provide write-off/recharge recommendations to customers.
Ensure van is stocked with spare parts at all times.
Maintain service records and daily worksheets in systems.
Adhere to Health & Safety at Work guidelines.
Maintain productivity and represent the company professionally.
