Job summary

Nationwide Platforms is seeking a Mobile Service Engineer to service and repair powered access equipment across Cardiff and surrounding sites. You will perform fault-finding, routine maintenance and repairs, while maintaining thorough paperwork and promoting teamwork across depots.

You will join the UK’s leading provider of powered access rental, with regular technical training and a strong safety ethos. The role includes a company van, fuel card, on-call allowance, and generous holiday plus

Qualifications

Relevant general maintenance qualification and proven experience in the plant rental sector preferred.
Experience in plant, diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics and diagnostics/fault finding.
Ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure.
Good interpersonal skills and a strong focus on customer service.

Responsibilities

Fault-finding, servicing, repairs and maintenance of powered access equipment at depot and customer sites.
Routine service and maintenance of all equipment and products.
Complete relevant paperwork in line with company procedures.
Refurbishment of equipment and products when required.
Promote teamwork across depots to ensure effective workshop performance.
Estimate repair costs and advise customers on write offs, damage and recharge.
Keep van stocked with spare parts at all times.
Maintain service records and daily worksheets.
Adhere to Health & Safety at Work guidelines.
Carry out other duties as required.
