Job summary

Star Platforms in Warrington, North West, is seeking an experienced Mobile Service Engineer to service, repair and maintain our fleet of access platforms. You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults on MEWPs at customer sites, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

The role requires a proactive team player who can work independently, with a valid UK driving license. We offer ongoing training, a contributory pension, health plan and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Access Engineer, Service Engineer, or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostics.
• Experience with powered access equipment (MEWPs, scissor lifts, booms).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns and carry out repairs on a fleet of powered access equipment at customer sites.
• Service and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Carry out preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Ensure health, safety, and industry standards compliance.
• Accurately record all work, parts used, and system status.
• Provide technical support and advice to colleagues and customers when needed.
