Job summary

Gi Group is hiring Meter Readers in Exeter to collect data from gas, electricity and water meters for commercial and residential properties. No previous experience is required. You will use a handheld device, update reads and provide excellent customer service while following safety guidelines.

The role offers 40–45 hours per week, with start times from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday, occasional Saturdays. Pay is £13.23–£13.97 per hour, with potential annual earnings of £29,000–£35,000 including

Qualifications

• No previous experience required.
• Clear DBS check (where applicable).
• Credit report check may be required.
• 5 years employment history required.

Responsibilities

• Retrieving data from domestic, commercial, and industrial meters (Gas, Electric, Water).
• Carry out visual inspections of metering equipment.
• Charge Point Surveys.
• Drive and maintain independent working discipline.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service.
