Job summary

Gi Group is recruiting a Meter Reader to collect readings for gas, electricity and water meters across commercial and residential sites. No experience required, and training will be provided.

You'll work full time with flexible start/finish times (typically 8am–8pm, Monday to Friday, plus occasional Saturdays), and may earn £27,000–£30,000 annually including bonuses. A company car, pension, and full PPE are provided.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required.
• Ability to work outdoors and in varied weather.
• Physically fit with ability to lift/crouch and navigate tight spaces.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve data from domestic, commercial and industrial meters for water, gas and electricity.
• Enter readings on handheld device and update records.
• Carry out visual inspections of metering equipment and perform Charge Point Surveys.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service on site.
• Follow Health and Safety guidelines at all times.
