Job summary

Impact Energy Partners is seeking a Service & Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) to join the Technical Services team. The role covers inspection, servicing, maintenance, repair, installation and commissioning of odour control equipment across Thames Water, Anglian Water and Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water sites.

This field-based role operates across Sewage Treatment Works and Pumping Stations, offering a varied workload and exposure to critical infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Completed Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience maintaining, fault finding and repairing mechanical equipment in an industrial environment.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Good IT, literacy and numeracy; able to work independently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on odour control systems, pumps, fans, ductwork and pipework.
• Inspect, diagnose and repair mechanical faults safely and efficiently.
• Install, modify and commission new mechanical equipment.
• Perform mechanical testing, airflow sampling and gas testing.
• Complete site inspections and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and site documentation.
• Keep asset registers and preventive maintenance programs up to date.
• Provide technical support to colleagues and clients, including trainees.
• Support emergency call-outs and occasional overtime requirements.
