Job summary

Recruitment Helpline Ltd is seeking an experienced Mechanical & Electrical Service Engineer to service sewage pumping stations and wastewater treatment plants. The role is field-based, covering site visits, fault-finding and maintenance across customer sites in the region.

The ideal candidate brings strong electrical and mechanical skills, relevant experience, and a proactive approach to delivering high-quality customer service. A competitive package includes overtime and a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with sewage pumps, wastewater plants or pumping stations.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and mechanical maintenance skills.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings.
• Full UK driving licence and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and maintain sewage pumping stations and wastewater systems.
• Diagnose faults and rectify electrical and mechanical issues on pumps, motors and control panels.
• Install new pumping systems and treatment plant equipment.
• Conduct planned preventative maintenance and emergency callouts.
• Complete site reports, risk assessments and ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.
