Job summary

Hydro International is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Heathfield, East Sussex team. This hands-on field role involves installing, commissioning, and testing water filtration systems on sewage treatment sites, with regular site inspections and reporting for quotations.

The role requires a current UK driving licence, City & Guilds mechanical engineering qualification, and a recognised mechanical apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• To be successful, you'll need a current valid UK driving licence.
• City & Guilds mechanical engineering qualification.
• Completion of a recognised mechanical apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, set up and test water filtration systems on sewage treatment sites.
• Carry out site inspections, diagnose faults and prepare survey reports for quotations.
• Use mobile electronic equipment to access and interpret technical information.
• Work at heights, in confined spaces and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Work away from home regularly, including overnight stays.
• Occasionally support workshop activities at other UK locations.
• Collaborate with other engineers and trades across the business.
