Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Service & Maintenance Engineer (Water Treatment) for a regional patch around West/South London. The role involves inspecting, fault diagnosing, maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment at client sites, with travel across a regional patch.

Ideal candidates hold CSCS/CNSG, a mechanical engineering qualification (C&G or NVQ), a full UK driving licence, and are eager to receive full industry training. Salary ranges £38k–£45k DOE plus bonus and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, fault diagnose, test, maintain, install, modify or repair mechanical equipment as appropriate.
• Maintain Plant and Equipment to the required standard.
• Utilise mechanical engineering skills to maintain and operate Odour Control Equipment.
• Carry out mechanical installation work at water or wastewater locations.
• Mechanical assembly and operation of machinery, power tools and hand tools.

West / South London

On offer is a varied role where you will cover a regional patch, which would suit a candidate with experience in mechanical engineering. This role requires you to carry out routine and reactive maintenance on processing plants at client sites.

This company was established 15 years ago and has grown to be an industry leader in its field and is currently going through its strongest growth period to date due to its level of experience, reputation, technical knowledge, and well-established contracts.

This role will see you travel to clients’ sites, servicing and fault-finding processing equipment. If you have experience in mechanical fitting and hold a valid CSCS card, then this may be the job for you.

The Role:

• You will inspect, fault diagnose, test, maintain, install, modify or repair mechanical equipment as appropriate
• Maintain Plant and Equipment to the required standard
• You will utilise your mechanical engineering skills to maintain and operate Odour Control Equipment
• Carrying out mechanical installation work at a variety of water or wastewater locations involving a number of different processes
• Mechanical assembly and operation of machinery, power tools and hand tools
