Job summary

Aviva is seeking a Loss Adjuster to cover the Perth/Dundee region with responsibilities for visiting property claims customers, assessing liability, and building detailed work scopes. The role involves recording evidence, agreeing settlements, and selecting the best management route for each claim.

Travel across the UK may be required, with flexible hours including evenings and weekends. Strong people skills and knowledge of property damage types are essential to deliver fair outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience handling property insurance claims or loss adjusting cases within a regulated environment.
• Experience with property inspections, virtual assessments, commercial claims and scoping systems such as Cotality and/or Xactimate.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills to assess evidence and reach fair conclusions.
• Exceptional empathy and communication skills for gathering evidence and delivering difficult news.
• Understanding of Flood, EOW and Fire damage management and health & safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Visit domestic & commercial property claims customers to gather information and assess liability.
• Build work scopes, validate claims against policy cover, and determine settlements.
• Record evidence, appoint suppliers, and manage reserves using claims scoping software.
• Carry out travel across the UK and support major incidents when needed.
